Pro/CONCEPT is for industrial designers and stylists who need a fast, simple way to brainstorm ideas.

Most industrial designers are trained to prove form. Traditionally their tools are the traditional pencil. By tracing over previous sketches an industrial designer can prove a form and hone that shape by sketching it over and over. It is hoped that a designer can have 8 to 25 concepts in an eight hour period. With This new tool called Pro/CONCEPT, a designer may be able to concept more than 25 forms in the same time span. This tool is a powerful new effort for team oriented product design.

Many disciplines are now being cross-trained so that Engineers use Pro/CONCEPT. Even marketing people are heavily involved with the shape and form of the ultimate product as are of course Mechanical Engineers. More and more we see Mechanical Engineers loose their title as "Mechanical Engineer" opting instead for "Product Designer". Consequently, the software once only for industrial designers is now being used by properly trained marketing persons and engineers. Combined with Pro/ENGINEER, Pro/CONCEPT is a powerful force in team oriented product design.
