Level One
Students will learn Pro/ENGINEER sketcher utility and use it to input
designs. Students will be instructed through Part mode, Assembly mode
and Drawing mode while building and detailing a plastic injection molded
model car. They will learn basic feature construction, simple relations,
and modify and redefine features. Emphasis is placed on proper modeling
techniques. On the fifth day, fast-learning students will be able to take
on advanced modeling techniques catering more directly to their appropriate
discipline. As in every class, we incorporate detail drawing instruction. Learn how to create drawings and discuss Show Dimensions vs. Create Dimensions.

| Level Two Prerequisite: approx. 500 hours experience with Pro/ENGINEER Days/Hours: 3 Days/24 Hours Weekdays or Weekends $1200.00 US Customize environment and map key development. Utilize redefine, reorder, reroute, and insert mode. Create relations, parameters, and Family Tables and Simplified Reps in both Part and Assembly modes. Learn to exist within failure mode and utilize insert mode. Work with complex sweeps. Learn to redefine parts (with certainty) that others have modeled. Models are moderately complex. Learn to use drawings as a design tool for controlling snap fit and accuracy. | |
|
700 Heavy User Training Prerequisite: 1,000 hours minimum experience with Pro/ENGINEER Days/Hours: 2 Days-Nights/16 Hours Weekdays or Weekends $900.00 US Learn to utilize Simplified Representation, and Merge to form separate modify options often called 'Master Model' or Skeleton. Discuss in great detail the top down design approach. Learn to force assumptions, replace and rotate in sketcher. Enhanced Study of Sketcher. Force Patterns to follow complex curves. Learn to pattern Groups to follow curves and to create advanced sweep and blend features. Student will also receive an introduction to Pro/SURFACE & Pro/PROGRAM. If time permits class can focus on Table, Repeat Regions for automatic Bill of Material BOM generation. This course is a perfect prereq. for the Level One and Level Two CEP workshops. | |

Three
Week Pro/ENGINEER Comprehensive Workshop
This is a three-week workshop is our most popular course and usually starts at the beginning of each month. Although this course is customizable, typically the first week provides basic part modeling and insight into 3d spatial modeling. Like our one week 40 hour course, the student will utilize redefine within the first day. The first week the student will model either a ten piece vise assembly or a five piece toy car assembly by the end of the first forty hours.
The Second week offers intermediate training; a small sheetmetal project coupled with detail drafting exercises. If the student is to be a draftsman, they will basically create drawings of everything modeled in the first week. If the student is to ultimately work as a designer, they will work with a previously modeled assembly and learn to redefine and modify that assembly so each part has a .015" clearance between each part of the assembly. To learn more about the Fish Bath Toy tutorial go here.
During the third week, a final project must be designed and fully detailed.
Course involves two days of Sheetmetal, touches on Surfacing, explores redefine and fail mode in great detail. Students learn to work with other designers models and learn to use drawings as design tools. This course is good for those who are looking to maximize time on the system and those who are looking to enhance their resume then seek employment with a firm using Pro/ENGINEER. Job placement and resume development assistance is included in the cost of this course. Call for references

Pro/PROGRAM Workshop (16 hour WorkShop) Working knowledge of Master Model or Skeleton helpful but not necessary $1000.00 US Work with Pro/PROGRAM to manipulate parts and assemblies. Learn to call out variables and act on them. This course involves multiple tutorials and examples that drive parts, turn on or off features, drive mass properties (volume), and control patterns. Call for references, Course can be offered anytime so call to make an appointment. Weekend Workshops available. |

Two Day CEP workshop Level ONE or TWO
Student will explore only the most challenging issues with the PTC CEP CD one on one with the instructor. Pro/PROGRAM, Surfacing, Graph Features, Pro/SHEETMETAL, Master Model, Family Tables, Multi Trajectory Sweeps. Many other helpful hints will be offered. Call for references. This course is one on one and can be offered anytime so call to make an appointment. Price is negotiable if more than one person comes to training from the same company.
