GUIDANT The advanced surface training I received from Bart has been of great value to me as a mechanical designer. The techniques he taught me have allowed me to create more organized and robust models, achieve results I used to believe were beyond the scope of Pro/SURFACE, and work faster. Bart's grasp of surfacing is by far the best I have found. He has many insightful techniques that go much further than the generic core functionality training that I have received from traditional training institutions such as Rand and PTC. I eagerly look forward to the next opportunity to learn with Bart, and add a few more tools to my belt. Richard Swenson richard.swenson@guidant.com Mechanical Designer Guidant/CRM |

MOTOROLA I am writing to thank you for the services Pro Engineering Consultants offered Motorola in March and April of 1997. I did not have a chance to meet the individual you were able to place for us as I was in Singapore during the time he was here. I have met with the individuals who worked with him and I have collected feedback. The consultant you placed with us, Mr. Bart Brejcha worked very well with our team in International Paging. Our engineering team benefited from Bart's Pro Engineer surfacing experience and training. Bart also contributed to the completion of a second pager housing and a few components for which we required models. Overall our experience with Bart's placement was both beneficial and positive.

ELECTRONICS I am writing this letter to inform those interested in taking Advanced Surface Training with Bart Brejcha that this training class was probably the most informative and useful class I've ever taken. I have used Pro/E exclusively since 1991 for companies like Mercury Marine, Motorola, CASE, Ariens Co., Harley-Davidson, and numerous others. My Job assignments in all cases were to design and model intricate shapes for vacuum form, roto and blow mold or injection mold, all with varying shapes and sizes. Countless times, I was not quite able to capture the design intent of the engineer or industrial designer offering instruction on my project. I attributed the necessity to compromise my design to the software's inability to do what we wanted. Yes, I would spend many hours working around rounding issues. One way or another, I would make them work, suitable for tooling. I did not know that I could make the models so much more modifiable. To me, they were acceptable if they made it out the door to tooling. Done and good enough... or so I thought. While at Mercury Marine in Wisconsin (well-known for winning the Pro/E Awards competition) our CAD/CAM support group was made up of two individuals hired directly from PTC Tech Support. Yet, in all my tenure at Mercury Marine, never did I see them use the Pro/E tools with such variety and technique and with such robustness as Mr., Brejcha had demonstrated in so much as his first two hour period. I actually got excited! The time spent with Bart was the best 20 hour class that I've been through, flat out! We have all been there when the major change comes down from above the week or day tooling is scheduled to start. To solve this problem, Mr. Brejcha offers straight at you technique and presents options or forethought for inevitable change built in at the beginning of the model. I truly increased my worth ten fold after taking instruction from Mr. Brejcha. His insight into Pro/E advanced surfacing and the marketing/manager/designer/engineer working relationship will truly help me shave time off my product design and development cycle. It is a shame that PTC does not offer these advanced Pro/SURFACE courses. Always, Sid Humphreys ERICSSON ELECTRONICS |

SRAM CORPORATION To whom it may concern: I would like to recommend the services of Deep Productions, for Pro/ENGINEER Training on both a beginning and advanced level. I found that the instructor, Bart Brejcha, did an excellent job of teaching basic surfacing as well as some valuable Pro/E tactics. These tactics have already saved me quite a bit of time and in every case resulted in a more robust model Sincerely, Kevin Wesling Design Engineer SRAM Corporation |

| Honeywell This letter was written and sent to Rick Snyder (President of the international Pro/USERS Group) - Hope you've recovered from the conference, you all certainly did a wonderful job (again!) You had solicited input for Advanced Surfacing class expectations, and I wanted to follow up with you. I had hoped to get an understanding of when/why a person would select Pro/E surfacing or Pro/CDRS (since they both can do many of the same things). In a nutshell, the instructor was not familiar with Pro/CDRS and the course focused on Pro/E surfacing techniques. As it should have, but I know of very few people that understand when/why to use one vs the other (Adv'd Surf in Pro/E vs Pro/CDRS). At one point in the class, a fairly simple, symmetric model with "merged" surfaces was used. A significant limitation of Pro/E surfacing was pointed out that for a four-sided surface, G2 continuity (continuous curvature) can only be obtained in one direction. What was *not* pointed out was that making this one surface to begin with eliminates this problem. I think there's room for improvement for next year. Bart Brejcha, from DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION in Chicago, would be an excellent candidate for an Advanced Surfacing Trainer for next years International Conference. His background includes mechanical design, industrial design, and he's also used Alias and Pro/DESIGNER. Obviously, he's not selling software, and his experience is real world which I think distinguishes his ability as a trainer from PTC/Rand who "know the software." My opinion is it's better to "know how to get your job done." I think he'd be excellent speaker, and yes, I have asked if he'd considered giving a User Presentation! Knowing some his techniques (I have seen his presentation in Minneapolis last Winter), I thought a title like, "What PTC and Rand DIDN'T tell you about surfacing" might be appropriate! And I'm sure references are readily available if you're in doubt... Best Regards,
Always, |

Spectratec Corporation Pro/DESIGNER Training After researching many CDRS Pro/DESIGNER training possibilities, our firm decided to go with DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION. Their instructors are experts that draw from eclectic backgrounds to create a custom learning experience that one can't get from a standard classroom setting. Their extensive knowledge and expertise enabled the student to prepare and solve real world design problems. The intensive one week 40 hour CDRS program at DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION challenged the student not only to learn the software, but to understand any limitations then offer insight and resolve. Sincerely, Brad Adams bradadams@spectratech.com President Spectratec Corporation, CA |

Sterling Corporation Pro/DESIGNER Training Having several choices for training with CDRS, I chose to Attend DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION training workshop with Bart Brejcha. Some of my co-workers attended PTC CDRS training and felt that they had not been given real world surfacing challenges. DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION is not selling the software, thus they will not avoid showing you the problems that CDRS can have on certain surfacing models. DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION was very good at getting to a solution to my surfacing issues, instead of avoiding those problems. I had some previous 3d modeling experience and Bart was very willing to customize the course to my specific needs. After completing the course, I felt that the CDRS package is a very strong tool especially coupled with the integration of Pro/E.
The instructor's background is very diverse, not only does his knowledge of CDRS help, but his emphasis on communication between the two platforms (Pro/E and CDRS) was excellent. There are many software programs and training choices available. With the help of DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION and Bart the instructor, I was very impressed and pleased with the training. Pro/E is the engineering Software of choice, and having the ability to integrate CDRS driven data with Pro/E, alleviated our data bottleneck this gives the industrial designer (me) more control over the final product.

Jeremy Caldwell Three week compressive course I don't know what it is, Bart, but lately I've just been feeling like I've got to learn all this other stuff. I don't like to read much and I'm finding myself doing more of that. At 18 years old, I am positive that I can and will learn anything that I want to. I just wanted to let you know that you and your course have been a great inspiration to me. I get very excited about learning about new career opportunities after talking with you. You are very encouraging! I never really believed this until now: If you want to do or learn something, you can! No matter what! I still can't thank you enough for teaching me Pro/E in the three week comprehensive course. Thanks for starting me on the path of a great career where opportunities to make lots of money are available. Money is a good motivation, but it isn't the only thing, to learn is now my passion. Now, I want to come up for Pro/SURFACE training! Thanks, again, for everything. I owe a lot to my parents and to your program for getting me started. I can't wait five years from now to be able to have the ability to look back and realize everything I've accomplished and see how far I've made it in life. Thanks again, Bart! Adam Johnson Three Week Comprehensive Student I am writing this testimonial to DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION because is a beneficial learning experience. You will receive every bit of training from the three week comprehensive course that you are willing to learn. Bart and his staff are very helpful. I was working at a mobile home manufacturing company prior to coming to Chicago for training, not a great job, I assure you. I was on a piece rate but work was slow, then I was laid off. I'm 24 years old with a wife and a two-year old son. Then I heard that a few close friends of mine had gone to DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION in Chicago and took the comprehensive training course and are now they are averaging $20.00 per hour. Like me, they, too, were in a similar situation so I figured I should take a chance. After raising the money for the course, I flew to Chicago not really sure what to expect. All I had to go on was the experience of friends of which whom took the comprehensive course before me. When I arrived at DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION, there were three other trainees. So it was possible to receive one on one training like the web site said. On the very first day we were intensely on the computers learning Pro/ENGINEER. As the days went by, I learned more and more. We were modeling, creating drawings, and even learning Pro/SHEET METAL all within the first week. The days of learning were long and intense, ranging from eight to ten hours (and more), six, sometimes seven days a week for three solid weeks. I loved it and I couldn't believe how much I was learning each day. Now I am working steadily and supporting my family, like I've always wanted. I am extremely thankful to Bart Brejcha and DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION for helping me acquire the skills I needed to start a career.
